Which Making Money Online Business Opportunity Is Best?

If you are looking for a way to make a few extra bucks online or perhaps even eventually quit your job and work full time online then you’ve probably come across a number of websites all claiming that they’ll make you a millionaire overnight. But are any of these online business opportunities for real?

Perhaps they suggest filling in survey’s or maybe you’ve come across a website that promises that you’ll have all the ‘secrets’ for a small one time price of just $197. Yes I’ve seen them too. But you know what – most of them are not worth your time because you can make a very good income online for free. Yes you heard right – for free.

You see today there are hundreds of places online where you are allowed to publish your own website or blog and earn an income and it won’t cost you anything for domain names or hosting because they will host it for you.

Some of the more popular places where you can create a blog is Blogger.com or WordPress.com (although WordPress is quite strict about blogs which only have one purpose to make money).

You can even create mini one page sites at places like HubPages.com or Squidoo.com and in return you’ll get a share of the revenue that they earn. That way the more hubpages or squidoo lenses that you create, the more money you’ll make.

Ok, so you’ve got a free website, now what?

There are quite a few ways of making money online but probably the most popular method is having advertising on your site such as Google’s ads that you see on this page. They earn revenue for the website owner from anything from a few cents per click to a few dollars per click.

You need to be approved by the Google Adsense program first to be allowed to place ads on your site and they have strict rules about what you can and can’t do as well but it can be an easy way to make money online because you don’t have to worry about finding advertisers yourself. You just place a piece of code on your website and you are good to go.

To get approved by the Google Adsense program you’ll need to have a website to show them already. I suggest starting a blog and adding at least 5 or so posts of good quality information on it about a particular topic. Don’t write about your what your cat ate that morning, but something useful for people.

Then apply. Sometimes they will allow you to join immediately, other times they will make you wait 6 months to prove that you are legimate. But once you are approved you can put those ads on as many of your websites as you like.

How to Make Money on the Net by Writing Articles

You’ve probably heard about people that make money on the net, but had a quick look online yourself only to be bombarded with spammy looking work at home websites and got discouraged. And yes, while it’s true that there is a lot of false advertising out there, it is definitely possible to make money online because I do it every day.

So how do I do it?

Well I believe that one of the easiest ways to get started to earning an online income is by writing articles. Just like this one.

Words and information are the lifeblood of the internet (although video is also becoming increasingly popular but that’s another topic entirely). So by contributing your own words into articles to either put on your own websites or article directories such as Ezinearticles to gain backlinks and traffic you can earn quite a nice little income.

But how do you get the money?

Usually you will receive money after you sell something, but of course not many of us have things to sell ourselves so this is where promoting someone else’s product or putting advertising on your website will work. If you promote a product and someone buys it through your link you will get paid a commission.

But if you are not comfortable writing reviews and promoting products then just be writing purely informative articles and placing advertising on your site you can earn money as well. Probably the easiest way to put advertising on your site is with Google Adsense.

They will show ads that are relevant to your site without you having to bother going to look for advertising partners.

You will of course need a website or blog where you can put your articles on. If you don’t have one you can put your articles on some of the revenue sharing websites instead in which you can earn a percentage of the income that your article produces. Some of the top revenue sharing sites include hubpages.com, squidoo.com, xomba.com, infobarrel.com and snipsly.com.

Ezinearticles doesn’t have revenue sharing but they do rank high in Google so you can get lots of backlinks and/or traffic by placing your links in the resource box, just like I have below. This is the reason that most article marketers use Ezinearticles.

So as you can see it is possible to make money on the net, and it is all possible by writing articles.
